The Cleo L. Craig Child Development Laboratory provides high-quality early childhood educational services for children in an inclusive environment. This unique, integrated program serves children and families, while also serving the community and state of Oklahoma.
In addition, the CDL functions as a research and functional teaching lab for OSU students and faculty. Each year, more than 200 students in the OSU Early Childhood Education program spend time in Child Development Laboratory classrooms as a component of their teacher training program.
Stillwater and surrounding communities rely upon the Child Development Laboratory as an educational and service-based environment that provides high-quality care for children ages 12 months to six years, with delays and disabilities along with their typical developing peers. Other care providers are unable to consistently and continuously provide educational and therapeutic services which identify and provide practices, strategies, and routine care to meet the needs of all children.
